So I realize it has been *forever* since I last blogged, and a lot of stuff has happened that I have neglected to mention here. Since I last checked in, I have been two 2 book signings, I was on TV, and just this morning I was on the radio. Things have been crazy and I’ve gotten to experience so many opportunities! I’ve been very very busy which is why this blog has gone unattended for a while.
But thanks as always to everyone who has visited. Hopefully I’ll be able to keep things a bit more up-to-date here.
At the moment I am traveling with my publisher to Seattle for a book signing at Barnes & Noble at University Village. It just never stops!
If you haven’t bought your copy of The Zombie Code yet, don’t forget – it’s now at Barnes & Noble stores nationwide and also at select Borders locations. You can always find it on Amazon too. It’s also available on Kindle, Nook, and iBooks so really, there’s no reason you shouldn’t have a copy
Peace out for now!
Mark

Well, folks, this is it. After nearly a year, The Zombie Code is real and it exists. Thousands of copies of the book have been printed and are getting ready to ship to stores and warehouses all over the country. We will in fact meet the scheduled September 1 release date! You should be able to easily get a copy on Amazon or other online stores. Additionally, it will be part of a featured display at Barnes & Noble stores nationwide in October. Stay tuned for that!
You will also be able to get a copy at the Columbus, OH Borders location on Sawmill Rd. That’s right – I’ll be there for a book signing on October 1! Mark your calendars now! I’m originally from Columbus and can’t think of a better place for my flagship book event.
I want to thank everyone who has visited this blog over the last several months. Thanks also to all of you who already pre-ordered the book. I appreciate all the support! And don’t forget – we’re on Facebook and Twitter!

Something exciting is definitely brewing behind the scenes here at Zombie Code HQ! I can’t really say too much at this point, but in addition to The Zombie Code and my second confirmed book, Zombie Eye for the Living Guy, there is a third project already in preliminary discussions. And this one isn’t a book
*cough cough*
Anyway, I’ve already said more than I should, but I just thought I’d pop in to remind you that the excitement never stops. Thanks again to all the loyal fans. Production of the book is now just months away! Be sure to get your pre-orders in!

Fangoria, one of the most well-known publications for covering horror and gore content in the entertainment world, has run a feature on The Zombie Code! This is a huge milestone in our grass-roots marketing campaign to get people aware of the upcoming release, which is set for September 1 (mark your calendars!)
Also, Fangoria got exclusive details on my next project (hint, hint)… so go over to their site and check it out!

Hey guys. So, as I began to study what it takes for zombies to survive their long hunts, walking around 20 hours a day, and recovering from all that fighting, I came up with the Zombie Food Pyramid. Their daily requirements are a bit different than what we humans are used to:

About that big red “X,” yeah, I guess one of the best things about being a zombie is that you don’t have to eat broccoli anymore. That’s kind of a selling point right there, isn’t it?
So do you think it would be easier to maintain a healthy diet if you were a zombie? Share your thoughts in the comment section

Thanks to Andrew Lockhart for the great picture. That’s just a sample of the kind of artwork you’ll see in The Zombie Code!

Hi all! It’s been a while since I last posted, but man things are getting exciting. I have a lot of news that I’ll be sharing over the next few weeks, but to get this started: our cover art has been finalized. It’s already been passed around to my publisher and our friends in distribution channels but now it’s time to share it with you, the awesome public who will make this book a hit. So….drumroll please!

This is what you’ll be looking for in the “horror” section of your local bookstore when The Zombie Code hits stores later this year. It’s all still coming together exactly as planned! My manuscript due date is just a few weeks from now, and from that point on, everything is left in fate’s hands.
Please let me know what you think! Post your comments below.

Hello all! It’s been a while, but I come back to the blog today with big news. We officially have an artist joining the team at The Zombie Code. Andrew Lockhart has been signed on to do all the artwork for the book and I am excited to seeing what his artistic skills will bring to the project.
Andrew Lockhart is a graphic designer, a runner, a native Oregonian, an illustrator, a soccer player, a musician, a student, a teacher, a lover of ice cream, a communicator of emotions and ideas. His work ethic and passion for design is only equaled by his love of Swiss Chocolate. He is currently pursuing Bachelor’s in Graphic Design and Marketing at Montana State University. Despite his age he’s won several awards for design and illustration work. If you would like to see more of his works, or to just say hi, go to AndrewLockhartDesign.com
Check back tomorrow when I will post a look at our first-ever Zombie Code concept artwork!

Well we haven’t posted for a while, but I come to you tonight with some breaking news. We now have an official publication date for The Zombie Code! That’s right – this book will be off to the presses within plenty of time for the holiday shopping season, so be sure to pick up a copy for Christmas, Hanukkah… It’s even a book to be Thankful for, and why not pass them out to Trick-or-Treaters?
Additionally, the first chapter of the book has been completed, and my deadline for completing the original manuscript will be June 1. Things are really stepping up now, so expect some major announcements and possibly even some book leaks right here on the blog over the next few months! Thanks to everyone who has stopped by so far and be sure to tell your friends all about The Zombie Code!
